Support ViCyber at Canada Premier Event!
In the summer of 2026 we have one important international trip. On this page you can find the ways in which you can help us!
Our team
ViCyber is the robotics team of Colegiul Național de Informatică "Tudor Vianu" in Bucharest, founded in 2022 with the support of Universitatea Copiilor. We take part in FIRST Tech Challenge with the goal of inspiring young people in Romania toward a STEAM career.
For us, mistakes are not obstacles; they are the fuel of innovation. Thanks to our founders, dozens of students discovered a passion for engineering, programming, and marketing, and the foundation they built is still present today.
We aim to constantly improve all aspects of the team, both competitive and educational, in order to fulfill the purpose of the ViCyber project: education, sustainability, and fun. We organize events such as "One Hour of Robotics", introductory robotics workshops for middle-school students, and we actively take part in Researchers' Night and conferences such as DefCamp, where we represent the supporters of our project.
How ViCyber evolved
See our team's journey, from the first FTC season to the current projects and initiatives.

Structure and roles
Our team is structured into three main departments, each with clear roles and responsibilities.
We analyze the game requirements. We design mechanisms in CAD. We build and test the robot. We optimize reliability for matches.
We write Java code for FTC. We control subsystems in TeleOp. We develop autonomous routines. We test and optimize for precision and stability.
We document the engineering process. We prepare the portfolio and engineering notebook. We communicate with sponsors and the community. We promote FIRST values and STEAM activities.
Outreach impact
Presentations, workshops, and conferences that we organized or took part in during 2025.
We worked alongside children. We introduced robotics through simple activities and teamwork.
Details
On October 13 and 14, we worked with the children from Teddybär Private School.
With the support of their teachers, we carried out practical activities and introduced them to robotics.
We thank them for their energy, questions, and imagination!
We organized two days of practical activities. The children discovered robotics step by step.
Details
On October 22 and 23, we worked with a new group of children at Evrika Private School.
We spent two days full of curiosity and discovery activities.
The children showed us how quickly they can learn when they work as a team.
We presented FIRST Tech Challenge and the team. We showed what the FIRST values mean.
